Abstract

Transportation is the transfer of people or goods from one place to another by using a vehicle that is driven by human or mechanical power. Whereas according to article 1 number 1 of the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 26 of 2017 it states that transportation is the movement of people and / or goods from one place to another by using vehicles in the road traffic space. The type of research data is secondary data with primary legal material and secondary legal material. The collection technique is library research. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative. From the results of the research and analysis Judging from the development of modern times, people's needs for transportation that are more practical and economical, can bring choices in transportation such as motorcycles, grabs, and uber. Although the existence of this online transportation service threatens the existence of conventional transportation, but the choice of consumers remains on online transportation. This is due to the development of technology that is so sophisticated that it makes consumers more interested in online transportation on the grounds; easier to find, more transparent prices, far safer, far more convenient, and more flexible. The development of online-based transportation services has raised legal awareness from the public / consumers in harmony with the objectives of consumer protection
