LAW ENFORCEMENT TOWARDS MONEY POLITICS CRIME OF THE REGIONAL IN PALEMBANG

Abstract

Money Politics is very much happening before the general election, this happens because of weak law enforcement and supervision of political activities in Palembang. The research is about the forms of money politics in the regional election which took place in Palembang and how the handling of money politics cases carried out by the police. The research approach uses juridical normative research methods, where this method uses library research, legislation, literature. The type of research data is secondary data with primary legal material and secondary legal material. Data collection techniques in the form of library studies and data analysis techniques used are descriptive qualitative. From the results of the research and analysis, it can be concluded that the forms of money politics in the election of Palembang election can be in the form of giving money and public facilities, such as the construction of damaged bridges but on behalf of the candidates themselves while handling money politics cases carried out by officials. the police is only in the form of order control and when receiving reports related to new money politics an investigation is conducted, because those who play a major role in supervising the election are the Election Supervisory Committee which plays a significant role in supervising the election elections, but the reality found in money politics court level because proof is still lacking.
