Plagiarism is an intentional or unintentional act of obtaining or attempting to obtain credit or value for a scientific work, by citing part or all of the work and/or scientific work of another party which is recognized as their scientific work, without stating the source appropriately and adequately.

Here are some things that fall under the category of plagiarism: Submitting articles that are the work of others without any references; Paraphrasing without stating a clear source; and Using ideas, theories, data, or information without including a clear source.

If plagiarism is identified, then, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will approve the action according to the level of plagiarism detected, with the following guidelines:

Plagiarism Level & Sanctions :

  1. Plagiarizing a short sentence from another article without citing the source. Action: The author is given a warning and a request to change the text and cite it properly.

Action: The submitted article is rejected for publication in the Journal of Management and Business (J-MaBis) and the Author may be sanctioned to not be allowed to publish in the Journal of Management and Business (J-MaBis).

All article authors are responsible for the content of the articles they submit because they all sign the Journal of Management and Business (J-MaBis) Publication Ethics Statement Form which will be given when the manuscript is declared accepted. If the article is classified as plagiarized, then all authors will be subject to the same action.
